The project of Tabriz_Parallel Universe is a way to search for artistic and research clues that confront us with two historical and modern worlds. Next to the museum that was built to remember and admire the Tabriz school (Tabriz School of Art Museum) and a project from the permanent treasure of the archive museum’s works in its second and new location (Nasser Bakhshi Archive and Contemporary Art Museum), which with today’s and universal artistic language, with the attitude and facing these two historical and artistic expressions, it is possible to better identify the common angles or visual contrasts.
Perhaps today, like the time when the Tabriz school was formed, the world is no longer an example and a belief in art, and man and the complexities of his attitude towards his environment and especially towards society, politics and his concerns are important, and considering the potentials of the spirit of the historical era, we can better look at the current project. What amazes us in the Tabriz school is the progress and innovation taking into account Iranian and Islamic cultural and artistic beliefs and potentials, and today we can see this in the contemporary art of Iran that the world art language has taken a dynamic and multifaceted language by integrating Iranian religious and cultural attitudes.
Tabriz_Parallel Universe project, by studying these two attitudes, invites us to a self-portrait of the current situation of man and his society, like the exemplary world of the Tabriz school, to look at man and his life, but in the third millennium.
An invitation to the kind of conceptual experience that embodies the present situation of man today.
