Hall Two
Small Works, Models, and Found Elements through the Lens of the Dark Room and the Observer
paintings, boxes, models, vitrines, objects, and found elements—constitutes an attempt to reimagine what the artist has been able to form from the world surrounding him. This process attains its concreteness in confrontation with the shattered dream of the artist’s environment, as seen through the perspective of an observer who, from a narrow aperture, has traced and depicted fragments of reality.
Here, the elements and images appear through the lens of a room that itself becomes a setting for witnessing the processes of experience and visualization in relation to events passing through time—events that, according to the artist, many of which cannot easily be altered. This hall, wherein the works are deliberately condensed within vitrines, stands as an allegory of our mental world and collective memory—a memory that, in the course of becoming intricate and complex, remains in constant transformation and metamorphosis.
